How to Set Up Lumous on Windows

A quick note: To keep things discreet, the application and installer both appear as "Reminders" on your system — in the taskbar, window titles, and anywhere else it might be visible. This guide refers to it as Lumous, but don't be surprised when you see "Reminders" on your PC!

Getting started with Lumous on Windows is quick and easy — no complicated permissions to configure. This guide will walk you through everything from purchase to your first session.

Step 1: Purchase a License Key

Before downloading, you'll need a license key. If you haven't done so already, you can purchase one or start a risk-free trial here.

Step 2: Download the App

Head over to the Downloads page and download the Windows version of Lumous. Compatible with Windows 10/11.

Step 3: Activate Your License

Once the app opens, you'll see a license activation screen. Paste your license key into the input field and click Activate. The app will verify your key and take you to the main screen.

Step 4: Configure & Use the App

That's it — no extra permissions needed! You're now on the main screen. Here's a quick overview of what Reminders can do:

Automation Features

  • Mouse Movement — Simulates natural, smooth cursor movement across your screen using realistic Bézier curves.
  • Mouse Clicks — Performs occasional left and right clicks.
  • Scrolling — Mimics natural scrolling behaviour with smooth, high-resolution wheel events that look just like a real mouse or trackpad.
  • Tab Switching — Switches between browser or application tabs.
  • App Switching — Switches between recently used applications.
  • Keyboard Activity — Simulates realistic typing at configurable speeds (WPM), complete with occasional typos and corrections for a natural feel.

Each feature can be toggled on or off individually.

Activity Settings

  • Basic Mode (default) — Use the single Activity Level slider to set all features to Low, Medium, or High intensity at once. Perfect if you want a simple, universal setting.
  • Advanced Mode — Toggle this on to reveal individual intensity sliders for each feature. This lets you fine-tune things like mouse activity level, click frequency, scroll intensity, tab switching frequency, app switching frequency, and typing WPM independently.
